Sesostris, 48 years, who subdued the whole of Asia within nine years, and Europe up to Thrace, everywhere raising memorials of his hold over the nations, carving on the pillars a man's members for the brave peoples and a woman's for the base — so that he was ranked by the Egyptians as first after Osiris. 4. The second, Benon, 40 years; then Archles, 30 years; Aphophis, 14 years. Sum: 103 years. In their age Joseph appears to have ruled in Egypt.

And Saites added twelve hours to the month, so that it should be of 30 days, and six (or five) days to the year, and it came to be of 365 days.
