?| From Genesis. Karnaeim (Gen 14:5): Astaroth Karnaeim. It is now a very large village of Arabia, the one called Karnaia, beyond the Jordan, where, by tradition, they point out the house of Job. There is also another village called Karnaia within the borders of Aelia. Kakes (Gen 14:7): where the spring "of judgment" is. Kades Barne (Num 32:8): the desert that stretches alongside Petra, the city of Arabia, where Mariam went up and died, and where Moses, after doubting, strikes the rock and gives <water> to the thirsty people. The tomb of Mariam is still there to this day. There too Chodollagomor cut down "the chiefs of Amalek." Kenez (Gen 36:11): a region of the chiefs of Edom. Kariathaeim (Num 32:37): a city that "the sons of Reuben" built. It is now an entirely Christian village beside Medaba, a city of Arabia, called Karaiatha, ten miles west of Medaba, toward Bares. Kariatharbo (Gen 23:2): "this is Hebron." It is listed above as well. Kanath (Num 32:42): a village of Arabia still <now> called <Kanatha>; <Nabau took it and> named it Naboth, and it fell to Manasseh. It still lies today in the Trachon, near Bostra. Kata ta Chrysea (Deut 1:1): mountains full of gold dust in the desert, eleven days' <journey> from the place where Moses writes Deuteronomy. It is said that at Phaino, beside the copper mines, there were in ancient times mountains with gold mines in them. Kademoth (Deut 2:26): a desert from which Moses sent envoys "to Seon." Kariath (Josh 9:23): a city subject to the metropolis Gabaon. Kades (Josh 12:22): a city that Joshua took after killing its king; it fell to the tribe of Judah. Kademoth (Josh 13:18): a city of the sons of Reuben. <Kedson (Josh 21:37): of the tribe of Reuben,> set apart for the Levites.

?| From Joshua. Kapseel (Josh 15:21): of the tribe of Judah. Kina (Josh 15:22): of the tribe of Judah. Keeila (Josh 15:44): of the tribe of Judah. <There> David stayed. There is still today a village Kela, east of Eleutheropolis on the way to Hebron, about eight miles off; the tomb of the prophet Habakkuk is pointed out there. Kariathbaal (Josh 15:60): this is the city of Iareim, of the tribe of Judah. Kana (Josh 16:8): of the tribe of Ephraim. <Kabsaeim (Josh 21:22): of the tribe of Ephraim.> Kane (Josh 17:9): of the tribe of Manasseh. Kariathiareim (Josh 18:14), which is also Kariathbaal and also the city of Iareim: one of the cities of the Gabaonites, of the tribe of Judah, between Aelia and Diospolis, lying on the road nine miles from Aelia. The prophet Uriah came from there, whom Jehoiakim killed in Jerusalem, as in Jeremiah. The son of Sobal was also called Kariathiareim, as in Chronicles. Kison (Josh 19:20): of the lot of Issachar, a city set apart for the Levites. Kartha (Josh 21:34): a city of Zebulun, set apart for the Levites. Katta (Josh 19:15): of the lot of Zebulun, a city set apart for the Levites. Kana (Josh 19:28): "as far as great Sidon," of the lot of Asher. In this town our Lord and God Jesus Christ changed the water into the nature of wine. Nathanael also came from there. It is in Galilee of the nations. Kades (Josh 19:37): of the lot of Naphtali, a priestly city, formerly a city of refuge "in Galilee, in the mountain of Naphtali." This too "the king of the Assyrians" took. This is Kydissos, twenty miles from Tyre, lying near Paneas. Kartham (Josh 21:32): a city of the tribe of Naphtali, set apart for the Levites.

?| From Judges. Ketron (Judg 1:30): Zebulun "did not drive out" the foreigners from it. Karka (Judg 8:10): where "Zebee and Salmana" were, whom Gideon killed. There is now Karkaria, a fort only one <day's journey> from the city of Petra. Kamon (Judg 10:5): the city of Iaeir, where he was buried after judging Israel. There is now a village Kammona in the great plain, six miles north of Legeon on the way to Ptolemais. Kison (Judg 4:7): a torrent near Mount <Thabor, where Sisera was fought. Kademim (Judg 5:21): a torrent> where Deborah fought. Koilas (Judg 1:19): of the Titans, against whom David fought. Klauthmon (Judg 2:1): place of wailing, a place so called.

?| From Kingdoms. Keni (1 Sam 27:10): a region of the foreigners. Karmelos (1 Sam 25:2): where Nabal lived. It is still today a village named Chermaka, which is translated Carmel, ten miles east of Hebron, where a garrison is stationed. <Karmelos (1 Kings 18:42): a mountain> on the Phoenician sea, dividing Palestine from Phoenicia, where Elijah sat. Kabseel (2 Sam 23:20): the home of Banaias son of Iodae. Kedron (2 Sam 15:23): the torrent, or ravine, of Kedron. It lies beside Jerusalem. Kyrine (2 Kings 16:9): where the king of the Assyrians deported Damascus. Koa (1 Kings 10:28): near Egypt. Carthage (Isa 23:1): Isaiah, in the vision of Tyre, and Ezekiel, where the Hebrew has Tharseis. Valley of Josaphat (Joel 3:2): it lies between Jerusalem and the Mount of Olives. Kedem (Ezek 25:4): in Ezekiel. Aquila and Symmachus: of the east. Kedar (Ezek 27:21): in Ezekiel, "the chiefs of Kedar," and in Jeremiah, and in Isaiah in the vision of Arabia. It is a region of the Saracens. Kedar was a son of Ishmael son of Abraham. Karioth (Jer 48:24, 41): in the land of Moab, according to Jeremiah. Capernaum (Matt 4:13): beside the lake of Gennesaret. It is still today a village in Galilee of the nations, "in the borders of Zebulun and Naphtali."
