the Kittim, and they add their wealth to all their plunder,

like the fish of the sea [...] And as for that which he said, 'Therefore he sacrifices to his net'

and burns incense to his seine [...] Its interpretation: they

sacrifice to their standards, and their weapons of war are

the object of their fear [...] for through them his portion is fat and his food rich.

Its interpretation: that they apportion their yoke and

their tax, their food, upon all the peoples year by year,

to lay waste many lands [...] Therefore he empties his sword continually

to slay nations and does not spare [...]

Its interpretation concerns the Kittim, who will destroy many by the sword

youths, grown men and old men, women and children [...] and upon the fruit

of the womb they will have no mercy [...] Upon my watch I will stand

and take my post on my rampart, and watch to see what he will say

to me, and what [I shall answer] [concerning] my reproof [...] And the LORD answered me
